About the Company

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a major financial services organisation, working across complex technology and business change initiatives within the securities and post-trade environment.

This role will act as a key interface between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping translate business needs into effective solutions and supporting projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key interface between business stakeholders and IT/technology teams.
  • Understand the business drivers behind operational, functional, tactical and strategic change initiatives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business problems, requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Analyse requirements and propose viable business and technology solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions across multiple teams and levels of seniority.
  • Support the implementation and deployment of system and business changes.
  • Produce clear business, stakeholder, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases and process models.
  • Use techniques including BPMN, UML, story mapping and data modelling.
  • Produce and validate test scenarios and support the execution of different testing phases.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and client acceptance testing.
  • Promote Business Analysis best practices and contribute to continuous improvement across the wider BA community.

Qualifications

You will have:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within financial services, securities, capital markets or post-trade environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) and their role within financial market infrastructure.
  • Understanding of CSD Regulation (CSDR) and the wider post-trade securities landscape.
  • Strong knowledge of securities market standards, particularly ISO 15022 and ISO 20022.
  • Experience delivering complex technology and business change projects.
  • Experience working across delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, V-Model, Scrum and/or SAFe.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong requirements gathering and requirements management experience.
  • Experience with process modelling, use cases, story mapping, BPMN, UML and data modelling.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Required Skills

Any of the following would be advantageous:

  • IIBA or BCS Business Analysis Diploma
  • ISEB / ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
  • Experience of risk-based testing
  • Previous experience within a CSD, securities infrastructure, clearing, settlement or post-trade organisation

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with strong securities and post-trade knowledge to work on complex, business-critical technology change within a large financial services environment.
