🔍 Digital Business Analyst – Public Sector (Contract)

We're recruiting a Digital Business Analyst to join a central government department's Product Development Centre (PDC), helping shape digital services and products for the department.

📍 Location: Likely Newcastle, once per month for 2 days
💷 Rate: Up to £340/day
🔒 Clearance: BPSS (or eligible to obtain)
📄 Contract: Inside IR35

As a Digital Business Analyst on this PDC, you will:

  • Analyse and understand business problems and opportunities
  • Understand business and policy constraints and assess implications
  • Identify and elaborate user and business needs into clear requirements to enable effective design, development and testing
  • Support research and analysis of how a business area works — people, organisation, processes, information, data and technology
  • Support creation of AS-IS and TO-BE processes/user journeys
  • Support identification of improvement areas, explore feasible options, analyse effects of change, and define success measures
  • Support prioritisation and MVP decisions using analysis-led insights
  • Support ensuring new products and services meet business/user needs and align with organisational goals
  • Support fortnightly playbacks to keep stakeholders abreast of progress
  • Actively participate in internal craft communities, sharing best practices and thought leadership

  • Business Analyst experience within UK Government or public sector environments
  • Strong requirements analysis and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments
  • BPSS clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
