Location: Windsor (3 Days in Office)
Duration: 6 months (Ext Options)
Rate: £550 per day (Umbrella)
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst – SAP S/4HANA Finance Master Data Design to join our Finance Transformation team and play a key role in designing the future-state Finance Master Data model as part of a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.
The role will focus on defining and documenting Finance Master Data structures, including General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centres and Profit Centres, together with the associated hierarchies, definitions and reporting requirements.
You’ll work across Finance, Data, Reporting and Technology teams to translate business requirements into robust data designs that improve consistency, data quality and reporting capability.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a significant transformation programme while working closely with senior Finance and Data stakeholders across the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Translate business and reporting requirements into Finance Master Data designs and structures.
- Design and document Finance Master Data definitions for General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centres, Profit Centres and associated hierarchies.
- Collaborate with Finance, Reporting, Data and Technology teams to develop future-state data models.
- Build and maintain Finance Master Data standards, principles and design documentation.
- Support the development of data quality rules, controls and validation requirements.
- Test SAP data outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness and alignment with business requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to capture requirements and drive agreement on data definitions and design decisions.
- Document business rules, data requirements and design decisions clearly and effectively.
- Support the implementation of improved data structures that enable more efficient finance processes and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve data consistency, quality and governance.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure the future-state Finance Master Data model meets strategic business requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant – CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Proven experience supporting Finance Transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of Finance Master Data and financial reporting structures.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA, particularly within a Finance environment.
- Good understanding of finance data architecture and master data principles.
- Strong Business Analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process analysis, process design and documentation.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex finance and data concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability.

Desirable
- Experience designing Finance Master Data structures within SAP S/4HANA.
- Knowledge of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
- Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Exposure to enterprise-wide ERP or Finance Transformation programmes.
- Experience with financial reporting hierarchies and management reporting structures.
- Experience working within large, complex organisational environments.
