Job Title: Business Analyst - Automotive Finance
Location: Milton Keynes
About the Job you are considering:
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in Automotive Finance to drive business transformation and digital initiatives across lending, leasing, and mobility finance solutions. This role requires strong domain knowledge, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technology solutions.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role
- Lead business analysis activities for automotive finance transformation and digital initiatives.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across auto lending, leasing, fleet finance, and dealer financing.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct gap analysis and support business process transformation initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and solution review sessions.
- Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
- Support solution design, system integration, testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Define reporting, analytics, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Drive process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure delivered solutions align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and operational KPIs.
Your Skills
- Strong expertise in automotive finance, including auto loan origination, servicing, leasing, fleet finance, and dealer finance operations.
- Experience in eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing complex business and functional requirements.
- Proven ability to create detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong knowledge of loan origination systems (LOS), loan management systems (LMS), and end-to-end lending processes.
- Experience performing AS-IS and TO-BE process analysis to identify business improvements and transformation opportunities.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and effectively communicate with business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Hands-on experience using Agile and Scrum methodologies, including backlog refinement and sprint support activities.
- Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows, and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience supporting test planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management, and solution validation.
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment, underwriting processes, and automotive finance compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FCA, PSD2, IFRS, and Basel standards within financial services environments.
- Experience working with platforms such as Alfa Systems, Solifi, Cassiopae, FIS, and Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.
- Ability to define reporting requirements, develop KPIs, and support data-driven decision-making processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience driving digital transformation, process automation, and AI/ML-enabled business improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in large-scale, multi-vendor, and client-facing environments while delivering successful business outcomes.
