Business Analyst – Energy Industry | Permanent | London (Hybrid)
I’m currently supporting a leading organisation in the UK energy industry with the hire of a permanent Business Analyst to work across a portfolio of significant market and industry change initiatives.
Permanent - Full-time
London - Hybrid (2 days a week)
Experience within the UK energy/utilities sector is essential for this role.
This role would particularly suit a Business Analyst who understands how the UK energy market operates, enjoys getting into complex market problems and can translate regulatory, commercial and industry change into clear business requirements and solutions.
The role will involve:
- Analysing complex energy market processes, arrangements and industry change
- Assessing the impact of regulatory and market developments
- Gathering, challenging and documenting business requirements
- Undertaking detailed analysis to identify gaps, impacts and potential solutions
- Developing process maps, operating models and business scenarios
- Working with industry and internal stakeholders to understand different requirements and perspectives
- Supporting options analysis and recommendations for future change
- Translating complex market concepts into clear requirements for technology and delivery teams
- Supporting projects from initial analysis and discovery through to implementation

What we’re looking for:
- Strong Business Analyst experience within energy/utilities – essential
- Good understanding of the UK electricity and/or wider energy market
- Experience working on regulatory, market, operational or industry change
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience with requirements gathering, process analysis and impact assessments
- Ability to work with complex information and turn it into clear, structured outputs
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior and industry stakeholders
- Experience working across business and technology teams
