Role Title: Business Analyst
Location: London/Leeds (Hybrid - 3 days)
Experience / Grade: 5–7 years; substantial specialist experience; familiarity with financial services and/or regulatory organisations.
Role Purpose:
Deliver business analysis for a workstream within the client's AI Programme, supporting key outcomes in a complex, regulated environment and working with senior business stakeholders and product-based technology delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit requirements and document use cases and acceptance criteria
- Model As-Is and To-Be processes
- Identify risks and issues and contribute to mitigation
- Manage business and technical stakeholders
- Design goal-driven autonomous AI systems and executable user stories
- Define human-in-the-loop controls, decision thresholds, triggers and override paths
- Design ethical guardrails and validation frameworks
- Define fairness and bias-mitigation requirements and monitor output bias

Essential Skills & Experience:
- End-to-end business analysis experience on complex projects/programmes
- Ability to operate in uncertain or difficult environments and provide challenge
- Facilitation of business SMEs across As-Is and To-Be process definition
- Excellent written and oral communication, translating requirements into functional outcomes
- Strong business acumen across requirements, design and testing
- Innovative problem-solving and process improvement
- Ability to translate policies and standards into processes, procedures and technical tools

Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Technical expertise implementing Agentic AI
- Business architecture, broader business design, or service design/transition
- Defining requirements for AI-enabled solutions, including use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes
- AI governance and responsible AI principles
- Human-in-the-loop controls, thresholds, escalation routes, overrides and validation points
- Working with product managers, technologists, data specialists and delivery teams
- Fairness, bias mitigation, transparency and assurance requirements, including impacts on vulnerable groups
