Business Analyst - 12 months - Competitive Day Rate Inside IR35
Day-to-Day Responsibilities and Activities
The Business Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, security specialists, and delivery partners to ensure IAM solutions meet organisational and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Elicit, analyse, document, and manage business, functional, non-functional, and security requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions to understand current and future IAM needs.
- Develop and maintain user stories, process maps, use cases, requirements traceability matrices, and business rules.
- Support the design and delivery of IAM capabilities including Joiners, Movers and Leavers (JML), Access Requests, Access Certification, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Identity Governance.
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, product owners, security teams, and suppliers to translate business requirements into implementable solutions.
- Assess business impacts of proposed changes and support change management, adoption, and communication activities.
- Support testing activities, including defining acceptance criteria, reviewing test scenarios, and validating delivered solutions against business requirements.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies relating to requirements and business processes.
- Ensure alignment with programme governance, security policies, regulatory obligations, and audit requirements.
- Produce high-quality documentation and reporting for programme boards and governance forums.

Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering technology-enabled business change.
- Experience gathering and managing requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Experience working on identity, security, access management, cyber security, or related technology programmes.
- Experience producing business analysis artefacts including requirements documentation, user stories, process maps, impact assessments, and traceability matrices.
- Experience supporting testing, validation, and business acceptance activities.
- Experience working within large and complex organisational environments.

Essential Knowledge
- Understanding of IAM concepts
- Knowledge of security, risk, compliance, and audit considerations associated with access management.
- Understanding of business process analysis and process improvement methodologies.
