Business Analyst – MINT and CVA Data Services

£94,000 per annum

London (Hybrid)

Initial 6 Month Contract

HSBC is currently searching for a Business Analyst to join their team in London to support delivery across MINT and CVA Data Services within CIB MSS Financial Resources.

A key area of focus for this role will be AI enablement, with MINT and CVA Data Services provisioning governed data into MINT AI Agents and broader AI solutions used to review FR metrics, support what-if analysis and improve access to timely MI.

The role will work closely with business, data and technology stakeholders to define requirements, document current and target state processes, support solution design, and ensure delivery of scalable, controlled and business-relevant outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements across MINT and CVA Data Services.
  • Support definition of current state, target state, business processes, data flows and control requirements.
  • Translate complex Front Office, Risk, Finance and Financial Resources requirements into clear, structured documentation.
  • Support AI enablement use cases whereby MINT and CVA Data Services provision data into MINT AI Agents and related AI solutions for review of FR metrics and management information.
  • Ensure requirements are aligned to business priorities, regulatory expectations, audit commitments and strategic architecture.
  • Help deliver strategic solutions that improve transparency, consistency and usability of Financial Resources and XVA related data.
  • Support reduction of manual processes duplicated tactical solutions and inconsistent business rules.
  • Contribute to delivery of scalable API and MI-based solutions across MSS, including data provisioning for MINT AI Agents and AI-enabled FR review capabilities.
  • Produce high-quality analysis artefacts including requirements documents, user stories, process maps, data definitions and acceptance criteria.
  • Support requirements for governed data provisioning, API consumption, explainability and control standards for AI-enabled use cases.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to support UAT, readiness and post-implementation validation.
  • Ensure strong traceability between business requirements, design and delivered outcomes.
  • Work across Trading, Sales, FRM/FRO, Risk, Finance, Product Control and Technology teams.

  • Good understanding of business analysis methodology and delivery lifecycle.
  • Good understanding of Front Office, Risk and Finance interaction models.
  • Knowledge of financial resource measures such as RWA, leverage and liquidity/funding is desirable.
  • Knowledge of counterparty data, ratings, classifications and control frameworks is desirable.
  • Understanding of API-driven services, data lineage and governance principles.
  • Awareness of AI enablement, governed data provisioning and explainability requirements for AI solutions would be advantageous.
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements for business and data-led change.
  • Experience producing process maps, user stories, business rules and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience supporting delivery across business and technology teams.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, controlled change environment.
  • Experience supporting AI-related data or analytics initiatives would be beneficial
