Business Analyst – Supply Chain / WMS (Process Mapping & Financial Recon)
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days/week on-site in Magna Park, Lutterworth / 2 days remote for Phase 1; 100% Remote for Phase 2)
Contract Duration: 12 Weeks
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Primark are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to deliver two critical, short-term process documentation initiatives across our distribution centre operations and finance functions.
The initial priority involves documenting "as-is" warehouse and order management processes from scratch down to Level 4 (L4 procedural level). The second phase will focus on mapping and standardising internal financial reconciliation workflows.
Role Overview
The Business Analyst will be responsible for documenting and maintaining end-to-end business processes across the Fulfilment Centre, Warehouse Management System (WMS) and delivery partner/network.
Working closely with Warehouse Operations, Technology and delivery partners, the role will map business processes, system workflows and key system interactions to provide a clear understanding of how the Fulfilment Centre operates and supports click & collect capability for Primark.

The process documentation will act as the single source of truth for business and technology teams, supporting end-to-end testing, change delivery, operational readiness and future process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate interviews, workshops with business and technology stakeholders to understand warehouse operations and system processes.
- Document end-to-end business processes across the Fulfilment Centre, including inbound, inventory management, picking, packing, dispatch, returns and any exception processes.
- Create system process maps showing how the WMS interacts with other business systems and how information flows across the fulfilment process.
- Produce clear L3 and L4 current-state business process maps using agreed standards and tools (BPMN standards).
- Work closely with Warehouse Operations, Technology and Solution Architects to ensure process documentation accurately reflects how the business & systems operate, data integrations and mapping.
- Support testing teams by providing process maps that help define and validate end-to-end business scenarios.
- Build a shared understanding of Fulfilment Centre operations by presenting and explaining process flows to business and technology stakeholders.
- Identify process gaps, inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement.

Knowledge & Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years’ practical experience in Business Analysis role or business relationship management in a digital environment.
- Experience documenting business processes within warehouse, logistics or supply chain environments.
- Good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse operations.
- Experience creating process maps using tools such as Visio, Miro or similar.
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- An appropriate degree, equivalent qualification or experience.
