Lead Business Analyst

Salary: £69,000–£77,500 per annum

Location: Leeds

Working Arrangement: Candidates must be able to work on-site at an office or client location at least 2 days per week, depending on client requirements

Contract: Full-time

Overview

Our client is a digital consultancy seeking a Lead Business Analyst to deliver business analysis services across complex digital programmes.

Working within multidisciplinary teams spanning data, design, product, delivery, analysis, and engineering, the role will lead the investigation of complex business challenges and help shape user-centred digital services.

The successful candidate will lead workshops, manage client and stakeholder relationships, coach other Business Analysts, and work closely with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to plan and coordinate delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the investigation of complex business and service challenges.
  • Identify appropriate approaches and solutions based on business and user needs.
  • Lead workshops with teams and stakeholders to agree objectives and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage, coach, and support other Business Analysts.
  • Work with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to plan and track team activity.
  • Lead business analysis activity across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support the design of services with users in mind.
  • Contribute to the development of the wider Business Analyst community.
  • Share best practice through internal activities, blogs, or events.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading problem analysis, information gathering, and decision-making across whole services.
  • Proven ability to determine approaches for gathering project requirements and identifying relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience coaching and guiding other Business Analysts in user-centred product and service design.
  • Expertise in using visual modelling techniques to communicate how services and processes operate and can be improved.
  • Experience managing work around client needs and ensuring solutions meet those needs across multiple products.

Desirable

  • Ability to adapt analytical approaches when project discussions or requirements change.
  • Experience independently identifying, researching, and applying new analysis techniques.
  • Experience encouraging open communication and shared responsibility within teams.
