Senior Front Office Business Analyst
I'm currently working with a growing energy trading business that is looking to hire a Senior Front Office Business Analyst to support a significant expansion across trading desks, products, and international markets.
This is not a traditional Business Analyst role. The position sits at the heart of the trading floor, working directly with traders, operations, and technology teams to deliver front-office initiatives that enable the launch of new trading desks, onboard new geographies, and support the continued growth of both traditional and renewable energy trading activities.
The environment is fast-paced and highly commercial, requiring someone who can quickly understand complex trading concepts and translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions. The team is looking for a BA who is comfortable challenging stakeholders, driving requirements from inception through delivery, and operating within a front-office trading environment where decisions are made in real time.

You'll be involved in initiatives spanning physical and financial trading, renewable energy markets, and the onboarding of new trading capabilities across multiple regions.
💻 Key Experience Required
- Strong Front Office Business Analysis experience within Energy Trading
- Experience working with Gas, Power, LNG, or broader commodities trading environments
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes including nominations, scheduling, trade capture, pricing, and P&L reporting
- Understanding of fixed-price and index-linked trading products
- Experience delivering business and technology change initiatives within trading organisations
- Ability to engage directly with traders and senior front-office stakeholders
- Exposure to renewable energy markets including solar, wind, and energy storage is highly desirable

Responsibilities
- Partnering directly with front-office trading teams to gather and define business requirements
- Supporting the onboarding of new trading desks, products, and geographies
- Working across nominations, scheduling, pricing, exposure management, and P&L reporting processes
- Translating complex trading requirements into functional and technical solutions
- Collaborating with technology, operations, risk, and trading stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives
- Driving process improvement and front-office platform enhancements
- Supporting the growth of renewable energy trading across solar, wind, and storage markets
Salary and Benefits
Up to £150,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Office: five days a week
