At Upland Software, you’ll find smart, creative teams who love working together to deliver value for our customers, and a global culture of growth and possibility. Our operating model has always supported remote work—and as we keep growing and evolving our workplace, that won’t change. We’re passionate. We’re proactive. We take pride in our work, and we love a good challenge. Sound like you?
We’re looking for an analytical, commercially-minded Solution Analyst to serve as the front end of our solution innovation engine. In this role, you'll transform market signals, partner feedback, win/loss insights, install-base opportunities, and commercial ideas into structured, actionable solution requirements. You'll own the quality of the problem definition before any solution development begins.
You are the bridge between opportunity validation and solution creation. You ensure our Solution Innovation team receives clear requirements and measurable acceptance criteria before resources are committed. You'll work in fast two-week cycles, leverage AI to accelerate discovery and analysis, collaborate closely with partners and internal stakeholders, and play a key role in helping the team rapidly validate, scale, or drop growth opportunities.
- Take in and validate opportunities from partner feedback, win/loss analysis, install-base intelligence, market trends, and internal stakeholder input.
- Conduct discovery with partners, customers, and subject matter experts to validate real business problems.
- Outline solution requirements that clearly define the problem / use case, map the business processes, pain points, requirements, constraints, and acceptance criteria. Ensure every opportunity entering Solution Innovation has sufficient clarity, evidence, and business context.
- Bridge business and solution design by partnering with the Solution Innovation team to translate business needs into clear, testable requirements and support requirement clarification throughout solution design and proof-of-concept development.
- Capture learnings and improve decisions by gathering feedback from pilots, partners, and field teams to identify adoption barriers, insights, and opportunities. Feed validated learnings back into future solution opportunities and portfolio decisions.
- Operate within fast two-week cycles leveraging AI and modern research techniques to accelerate discovery and analysis. Help the team learn quickly, validate efficiently, and focus investment on opportunities with the highest growth potential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
