We are looking for
We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Customs team and help turn operational needs into effective software solutions. Working closely with developers, testers and stakeholders, you’ll break down requirements into clear actions, map processes and support projects from initial ideas through to delivery. You’ll also work with the Development Manager to agree priorities and timelines, playing a key role in shaping systems that make a real difference.
What you will be doing:
- Build a strong understanding of Europa’s systems, business areas and working practices to support effective solution design.
- Gather, clarify and refine business requirements for new software and system changes.
- Work with stakeholders to analyse needs, define scope and turn requirements into clear solutions.
- Collaborate closely with developers and software testers to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Create test cases and acceptance criteria for backlog items.
- Support defect triage and management, working with testers to achieve the right outcomes.
- Take an active role in daily stand-ups, planning meetings, showcases and retrospectives.
- Use Agile principles to improve team collaboration, communication and development processes.

Our Ideal Person:
- Experience working as a Business Analyst within software development, desirable within Logistics or Customs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex needs into clear actions.
- Confident gathering requirements and mapping business processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with developers, testers and operational teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- Good organisation skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Agile ways of working and a positive approach to continuous improvement.
