Help us redesign the rental experience around what customers actually need
We’re looking for a Business Analyst to help shape the next generation of customer experiences at Sunbelt Rentals.
Our customers think about the job they need to complete, not the complexity behind hiring the right equipment. Your role will help us understand those customer journeys, remove unnecessary complexity and translate real business and customer needs into better processes and digital experiences.
You’ll work across Customer, Product, Technology and Operations, helping turn insight into practical solutions as we develop our use of Salesforce, connected data, automation and AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding customer problems, business needs and operational requirements.
- Mapping end-to-end customer journeys and processes.
- Running discovery sessions and workshops with colleagues across the business.
- Identifying friction, duplication and opportunities to simplify the rental experience.
- Helping design improved future-state processes.
- Gathering and documenting requirements.
- Creating user stories and acceptance criteria where required.
- Working with Product Owners and technology teams to develop and validate solutions.
- Using customer insight, colleague feedback and data to support recommendations.
- Understanding the impact of proposed changes on customers and frontline colleagues.
- Supporting solutions through testing and implementation.
- Exploring where AI, connected data and technology can make rental simpler and more valuable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
