With a strong reputation for connecting organizations with highly skilled professionals, MRJ Recruitment is dedicated to supporting clients through complex transformation projects and organizational change initiatives. Our commitment to excellence and personalized service ensures that both clients and candidates receive the best possible experience, fostering long-term success and growth.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile mail re-platforming and transformation programme. This role is pivotal in supporting a major merger within the logistics and mail sector, focusing on the seamless transition of mail operations, processes, and supporting systems onto a new, unified platform. The successful candidate will work closely with operational, technology, and programme stakeholders, playing a hands-on role in defining, designing, and delivering operational change. This is a contract position initially lasting five months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs.

The position offers a remote-first working environment, with fortnightly in-person meetings to facilitate collaboration and stakeholder engagement. The role demands a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach, with an emphasis on operational excellence and effective communication across diverse teams. The Business Analyst must be comfortable navigating complex environments, translating operational requirements into technical solutions, and supporting the full lifecycle of the platform migration from planning through to implementation and post-go-live support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background as a Business Analyst within complex transformation programmes, ideally within logistics, warehousing, mail, parcel delivery, or supply chain environments. Proven experience in platform migrations, system implementations, or re-platforming projects is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent process-mapping, requirements-gathering, and gap-analysis skills, with a track record of working effectively across both technology and operational teams.

Additional qualifications include strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, an understanding of business readiness, testing, cutover, and operational implementation processes. Confidence in taking ownership of workstreams and driving them to successful completion is crucial. Experience supporting merger, integration, or organizational change programmes will be highly advantageous.

A proactive, pragmatic attitude combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment will ensure success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Map current-state mail and operational processes across the merged organizations to establish a clear baseline for transformation.
  • Design future-state processes, identifying gaps, dependencies, and operational impacts to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Gather, document, and manage detailed business, system, and operational requirements to support system design and implementation.
  • Facilitate workshops with operational teams, technology specialists, and senior stakeholders to gather insights and validate requirements.
  • Support the re-platforming and migration of mail services, ensuring operational continuity and minimal disruption.
  • Translate complex operational requirements into clear, actionable deliverables for technical teams and project workstreams.
  • Assist with testing activities, business readiness assessments, cutover planning, and post-implementation support to ensure successful adoption.
  • Coordinate smaller workstreams, maintaining delivery plans, tracking risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure new processes are fully documented, communicated, and embedded across the operational environment to facilitate ongoing success and continuous improvement.
