Business Analyst
We are recruiting for a Business Analyst for our client, a leading provider of Investment Management and Retirement services.
The project is a strategic transformation initiative to migrate and modernise various operational processes by transitioning from legacy platforms to a new 3rd party operating model.
Requirements
A skilled Business Analyst with strong knowledge and experience of key Investment types, processes & data.
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Process Analysis
- Capture, analyse, and document end-to-end business processes.
- Facilitate workshops to understand current operating models and workflows.
- Develop "As-Is" and "To-Be" process maps.
- Conduct process walkthroughs and process discovery sessions.
- Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, duplication, and waste.
- Work with Test Lead on Test planning

- Analyse opportunities for process simplification and optimisation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Recommend practical improvements that reduce cost, effort, risk, and cycle times.
- Assist in implementing process improvement initiatives and Process Re-engineering.
Requirements Gathering
- Gather business requirements related to process change initiatives.
- Translate business needs into functional and operational requirements.
- Document process requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Work with stakeholders to validate proposed solutions and document User Stories.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships across business functions.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Manage expectations and gain consensus on process changes.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Change Impact Assessment
- Assess impact of process changes on people, systems, controls, and operations.
- Identify risks arising from process changes.
- Support business readiness and change management activities.
- Assist with training and transition planning.
Governance and Controls
- Ensure processes comply with governance, regulatory, and organisational standards.
- Review process controls and identify control gaps.
- Support audits and compliance reviews.
- Maintain process documentation repositories.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of all of the above, ideally in an investment/retirement environment, although other financial services backgrounds will be considered.
This assignment is expected to last approximately 12 months and requires someone who would be available to start with relatively short notice.
