Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh / Inverness, is currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst for an initial 12 month contract with option to extend on a rate of £400-£439 (inside IR35). This role will be hybrid working with up to two days per week in the Edinburgh / Inverness office.
Responsibilities:
- To support an Enabling Services Modernisation Programme which will fundamentally review and redesign our enabling services which include: Business Support, People Services, Corporate Office and Digital. There may be a requirement, during this assignment, to support other initiatives in our portfolio.

Essential Skills:
- Experience applying a variety of business analysis tools and techniques, including conducting workshops, identifying and analysing options, capturing user stories, modelling and analysing business processes.
- Strong planning and communication skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills.
- Experience of engaging with colleagues at all levels, including up to most senior.
- Experience of working with external stakeholders.
- Experience at managing and delivering projects.
- Strong Business Intelligence and data management expertise.
- Excellent analytical, modelling and documentation skills.
- Proven experience of successfully communicating analytical findings, easily understood by stakeholders.
- An understanding of risk and risk management techniques.
- Experience of both agile and waterfall processes

Desirable Skills:
- Experience of organisational design and redesign
- Experience of LEAN process and systems optimisation.
- Experience of working on projects that delivered substantial organisational change.
- Formal qualification In Business Analysis and/or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
