Join Elexon as a Business Analyst (Agile): translate complex needs into clear requirements, collaborate with product, architecture and delivery teams, and drive real business change.


We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst (Grade 10) to join the Business Analysis & Business Change Practice Team at Elexon on a permanent basis.


In this role, you’ll work as part of Agile delivery teams, partnering with Product Owners, Architects, Scrum Masters, delivery teams and stakeholders to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements. You’ll have strong experience working in Agile environments, facilitating workshops, refining requirements, supporting iterative delivery and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value.

You’ll play a key role in delivering complex business and technology change initiatives across Elexon, helping to define business needs, shape scalable solutions and support successful implementation. This is an opportunity to work across a broad portfolio of strategic change initiatives, transforming the systems, processes and services that underpin the GB electricity market while contributing to the continued maturity of our Business Analysis practice.


What you’ll do:

  • Work as part of Agile product and delivery teams, partnering with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects and technical teams to deliver business value
  • Plan and deliver business analysis activities across products, projects and strategic change initiatives
  • Elicit, analyse, document and communicate business requirements using a range of business analysis tools and techniques
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, workshops and stakeholder sessions to refine requirements, build consensus and shape solutions
  • Develop investment cases and options analyses aligned with Elexon’s strategy and roadmaps
  • Collaborate with Product, Architecture and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business outcomes and are delivered iteratively
  • Support BSC Change processes, providing requirements expertise and assurance where required
  • Apply and promote business analysis standards, methods and best practice across Agile and change delivery
  • Ensure requirements and solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and target states
  • Support business change activities, including impact assessments, communications and training needs analysis
  • Contribute to the Business Analysis & Business Change Community of Practice
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, simplification and operational efficiency
  • Support successful implementation, adoption and continuous improvement of new ways of working

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within Agile delivery environments
  • Experience delivering business analysis across complex business and technology change initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques, methods and frameworks
  • Experience eliciting, analysing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Experience working within Agile product teams, with a good understanding of Agile principles and practices (experience of Waterfall or hybrid delivery is also beneficial)
  • Ability to analyse, simplify and communicate complex business processes and requirements
  • Experience in process modelling, business process re-engineering and requirements management
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with complex calculations or data-driven requirements
  • Experience supporting business change and transition activities
  • Ability to build effective relationships with technical teams, suppliers and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in energy, utilities, financial services or other regulated environments (desirable)
  • Professional qualifications such as BCS Diploma in Business Analysis, CCBA or CBAP (desirable)
