About The Role
Business Analyst
Reporting to: Logistics Excellence Manager
The Role
As our Business Analyst, you’ll turn operational data into clear, meaningful insight that supports better decisions across our waste management operations.
You’ll extract and combine data from internal systems, analyse business performance and present your findings in a way that is easy for non-technical stakeholders to understand. Working closely with operational teams and managers, you’ll help identify trends, highlight opportunities for improvement and provide evidence-based answers to key business questions.
This is a hands-on, data-focused role for someone who enjoys working with numbers and can connect analysis to real operational and commercial outcomes. Joining Panda at an important stage of growth, you’ll help us move from data to insight—and from insight to action.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Business Analyst, you’ll be responsible for:
- Extracting, consolidating and analysing data from internal business systems
- Working with large operational datasets to identify trends, patterns and performance issues
- Translating complex information into clear and concise reports for non-technical stakeholders
- Working with managers and operational teams to understand their reporting and information needs
- Providing analysis to support operational, financial and strategic decision-making
- Combining information from different systems to create a complete view of business performance
- Responding to ad hoc requests and providing clear, evidence-based answers to business questions
- Highlighting areas where performance, efficiency or service delivery could be improved
- Contributing to the continued development of reporting and analytical capabilities across the department

What We’re Looking For
To succeed as Business Analyst, you’ll need:
- Previous experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar data-focused role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and working with large datasets
- Experience using Power BI or another business intelligence or reporting platform
- The ability to explain data and findings clearly to a non-technical audience
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to prioritise competing requests and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, collaborative approach and a willingness to support continuous improvement
- Commercial awareness and an understanding that effective analysis should lead to better business decisions
It Would Be an Advantage If You Have
- Experience working with logistics, transport or waste management operations
- Experience analysing large operational datasets
- An understanding of customer service standards and service-level expectations
- Basic knowledge of health and safety requirements within a transport or depot environment
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Business Analyst to become a trusted source of insight and contribute directly to the ongoing growth and development of Panda.
