Business Analyst (Operations) London > hybrid > contract
My client seeks an experienced Business Analyst (Operations) to play a key role in shaping and delivering operational processes, client journeys and business readiness activities within a fast-paced financial services environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a BA with deep operational expertise who can bring structure to complex requirements, enhance client experiences and support the successful delivery of strategic business initiatives.
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Design and optimise end-to-end operational processes and client journeys.
- Map and document workflows, operating procedures and operational models.
- Support the design and implementation of client onboarding, account opening, servicing and fulfilment processes.
- Identify operational gaps, risks, dependencies and process improvement opportunities.
- Define and document operational controls, approvals, ownership structures and service level requirements.
- Produce launch readiness and business readiness documentation to support successful implementations.
- Review hand-offs, exceptions and escalation processes to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Technology, Proposition, Compliance, Risk and Governance teams.
- Drive clarity and structure in ambiguous or evolving delivery environments.
- Support the enhancement of operational resilience, risk management and client experience outcomes.

Experience
- Significant Business Analysis experience within Wealth Management, Private Banking, Investment Management or Financial Services.
- Strong requirements gathering, analysis and documentation capabilities.
- Proven experience designing end-to-end operational processes and customer journeys.
- Deep understanding of client lifecycle management and wealth operations.
- Experience with process mapping tools and operational documentation standards.
- Strong knowledge of operational controls, risk management and governance frameworks.
- Ability to identify client and colleague friction points and implement practical solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology functions.
- Experience working in complex transformation, change or build environments.
- Strong understanding of client conduct, operational resilience and operational risk principles.

Qualifications
- Ideally 7+ years' Business Analysis experience.
- Demonstrable track record within Financial Services environments.
- Extensive experience in business process analysis, operational design and requirements gathering.
- Experience supporting large-scale change, transformation or platform initiatives is highly desirable.
