Business Analyst – AI Programme
Location: London / Leeds / Edinburgh
Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Contract: 9-12 Months initially, further extended
Experience: 5–7+ years

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a major AI Programme within a complex and highly regulated environment. You will work closely with senior business stakeholders, product managers, technology teams, and subject matter experts to translate business needs into clear requirements, processes, and deliverable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business analysis across complex projects and programmes.
- Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
- Develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate workshops with SMEs and stakeholders to define As-Is and To-Be processes.
- Identify business risks, issues, and dependencies and support appropriate mitigation.
- Translate business policies and standards into practical processes and technology requirements.
- Work closely with product, technology, data, and delivery teams.
- Support the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions, including autonomous/agentic AI use cases.
- Define requirements around human-in-the-loop controls, decision thresholds, escalation, and override mechanisms.
- Support AI governance, validation, and responsible AI requirements, including fairness and bias considerations.
- Ensure requirements are aligned with measurable business outcomes.

Essential Skills & Experience
- 5–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong experience delivering complex transformation programmes.
- Excellent requirements gathering and requirements engineering skills.
- Strong experience with user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Proven As-Is / To-Be process mapping experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of business processes, solution design, and testing.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience translating policies, standards, and business requirements into processes or technology solutions.

Desirable Experience
- Experience with AI, Generative AI, or Agentic AI.
- AI governance / responsible AI.
- Human-in-the-loop controls and AI validation.
- Financial Services or another regulated environment.
- Business architecture, service design, or business transformation.
- Experience working with product managers, technologists, and data specialists.
