The opportunity
As a Business Analyst specialising in Calypso, you will play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives that support AustralianSuper's global investment business. Working within Investment Services, you'll partner with stakeholders across investments, operations, technology and delivery teams to enhance the platforms, processes and capabilities that underpin our investment operating model.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your capital markets expertise with strong business analysis skills to drive meaningful business and technology outcomes in a complex and evolving investment environment.
Key duties include:
- Acting as a subject matter expert across Calypso, Capital Markets and associated execution management systems.
- Translating front, middle and back-office business requirements into effective Calypso solutions and functional requirements.
- Supporting the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to testing, deployment and transition into business operations.
- Analysing current-state processes and identifying opportunities to improve business performance through technology and process enhancements.
- Designing future-state processes that maximise the capabilities of the Calypso platform.
- Configuring and supporting Front, Middle and Back Office capabilities within Calypso to meet Treasury, Portfolio Compliance and Risk requirements.
- Facilitating workshops, managing stakeholder engagement and working closely with vendors and strategic partners.
- Supporting data analysis, transformation and migration activities across investment systems and platforms.
- Driving evidence-based decision making and continuous improvement initiatives across investment services.

What you'll bring
We'll be looking for experienced Business Analysts with a strong background in capital markets and investment platforms, ideally with extensive hands-on Calypso experience.
You'll bring:
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Calypso Specialist or similar professional within capital markets, implementation or support environments.
- Strong understanding of front, middle and back-office investment operations.
- Experience across areas such as collateral, trade support, settlements, reconciliations, payments, regulatory reporting, securities finance and performance attribution.
- Proven experience translating business requirements into functional solutions and managing requirements throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and process improvement.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- The ability to work effectively within complex environments and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Experience with financial products such as fixed income, money markets, foreign exchange, derivatives, repos, structured products and asset-backed securities will be highly regarded.
Exposure to platforms including Calypso, Aladdin, Murex, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, Refinitiv, SWIFT and MarkitWire would also be advantageous.
