Marex Clearing Services (MCS)

MCS is a division of Marex offering a range of products and services to clients.

Role Overview

This role will be supporting the Business Manager to establish and apply the frameworks and controls around the Clearing function and to drive improvement within existing and new processes. This role will be a key player in building and improving the Operational infrastructure to support the sustainable growth of this business.

This role will provide assistance for the sales and senior relationship management teams, in being a key driver for any change or new business initiatives, with responsibility for the oversight and approval of all new client relationships, enabling effective and controlled growth and integrating expansion opportunities when they arise.

As a liaison between the Business and Control & Support functions of the wider group, the successful candidate will be a key contact and go-to person to ensure the division continues to operate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with technology-focused projects, primarily focused on enhancing the various workstreams to assist sales.
  • Creating, reviewing, and improving existing MI and KPIs to effectively monitor and steer the business.
  • Assisting with driving change for the MCS team by establishing new processes, reviewing existing ones, and identifying enhancements.
  • Assisting sales and relationship management teams with operational queries.
  • Assisting with project management teams with integrations once initiatives are live.
  • Ensuring clear communication to manager and escalation where necessary.
  • Cooperating closely with support teams and the business to complete tasks and projects.
  • Promoting innovation and work on idea generation.
  • Ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes, focusing on driving improvement.
  • Assisting the Business Manager with daily operations and adjusting where necessary.

Skills & Experience

  • Significant relevant experience within a clearing/brokerage firm.
  • Data analysis and attention to detail.
  • Relationship skills, gaining trust with team members and clients alike.
  • Good communicator and sharer of information.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of or experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
