Who we are

ABASK shines a light on exceptional craftsmanship and design. Connecting people with the world's finest objects and makers, ABASK celebrates the process of creation, honouring time-honed techniques alongside innovation.

ABASK shares the skills and stories behind over 400 local and global artisans it has curated in one intuitively designed e-commerce environment that delivers the best in customer experience and service.

Taking the hard work out of choosing the most unexpected gift, personal collector's item, or interior design scheme, ABASK promises to deliver its unique edit of rare, exclusive, and one-of-a-kind pieces to over 165 countries within one to four days.

ABASK obsesses over the highest quality materials and make, inspiring its customers to covet the preservation of traditional craftsmanship; delight in the function of design icons; and take joy in modern heirlooms while cherishing the stories that accompany them.

Role overview

ABASK is a luxury home and lifestyle e-commerce business on Shopify and Business Central fulfilling from one distribution centre to over 165 countries. International pricing, tax/duty/VAT calculation, payment processing, fraud screening and customs compliance for these orders are currently managed via a third-party cross-border commerce provider integrated with our Shopify platform. As we scale we want to review this set-up to ensure we're getting the most out of native Shopify functionality (including payment options and B2B capability) while continuing to meet our compliance obligations across markets.

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst for an initial 3 month contract (with potential to extend) to lead a structured review of our current international commerce and payments set-up, evaluate current and alternative approaches and providers, and produce a clear recommendation and roadmap for how ABASK manages cross-border sales going forward.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a full audit of our current international commerce set-up, covering payment processing, landed-cost pricing (tax/duty/VAT), fraud review, customs/compliance documentation and shipping restrictions.
  • Map the end-to-end order and stock flow, including the handoff between our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and ERP system, to understand current dependencies and constraints.
  • Evaluate options for evolving our set-up, including greater use of native platform payment functionality, multi-entity configurations to support local payment rates across our key markets (UK, EU, US), and alternative third-party providers.
  • Assess what would be required for ABASK to manage more cross-border compliance directly (registrations, tax/duty filings, customs documentation), including whether this requires additional in-house resource or new tooling.
  • Build a cost comparison across the options under review and produce a clear business case and recommendation for senior leadership sign-off.
  • Identify and document the risks and requirements of any migration/cutover period, including how in-flight orders, returns and refunds would be handled.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance and Customer Service to validate findings and pressure-test recommendations.
  • Present findings, options and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders, including the Product Director.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work across technical and non-technical teams and present recommendations to senior leadership.
