New Long term contract for the role of the Business Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid, 2-3 Days)
Contract Duration: 6 months - 1 year
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
The Role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you would act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping translate retail challenges into data and technology solutions. Key contributions include:
- Driving business requirements for customer, commercial, supply chain, merchandising, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to improve customer experience, sales performance, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency through analytics and technology.
- Influencing strategic decisions through business process analysis, stakeholder management, and data-driven insights.

Your Profile
Essential skills and experience:
- Extensive experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional and data-driven solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management & communication skills across business and technology teams.
- Understanding of retail business processes, including customer journeys, merchandising, supply chain, eCommerce, inventory management, and store operations.
- Experience working with data platforms, data products, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Ability to use data insights to drive business decisions and measure value realization.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics ecosystems.
- Understanding of AI, GenAI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog management, and user story creation.
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery tools

Desirable skills/experience:
- Experience in large-scale retail transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of AI/GenAI-enabled business processes.
- Experience delivering customer, digital, data, or analytics products.
- Exposure to omnichannel retail and data-driven decision-making environments.
- Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, and enterprise data platforms is highly beneficial.
