Business Analyst - Data (Contract)

Hybrid, London (2-3 days per week onsite)
£400/day Inside IR35
Initial 6-Month Contract
Start ASAP

We are currently supporting a client embarking on a major enterprise data transformation programme and they're looking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in data and analytics.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced programme modernising a legacy data estate and delivering a new cloud-based analytics platform using technologies including Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran and Azure.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Gathering and documenting business and data requirements
  • Producing user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows
  • Creating source-to-target mappings, business rules and data definitions
  • Working closely with Data Engineers, Reporting teams and QA throughout delivery
  • Planning and coordinating UAT, including defect management and business sign-off
  • Managing stakeholder engagement across multiple business functions
  • Supporting Agile delivery from requirements through to implementation

We're looking for:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst on data, BI or technology programmes
  • Strong experience with modern data platforms and analytics projects
  • Excellent requirements gathering and documentation skills
  • Experience with source-to-target mapping, data mapping and business rules
  • Ability to read and write SQL for data validation
  • Experience running structured UAT cycles
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments
