At Burges Salmon, we are committed to continuously improving the way we work for our people, clients and communities. As part of this, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Transformation & Projects team and help shape the future of digital change across the firm.

Working closely with colleagues across the Innovation, Technology teams and the wider business, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities to improve processes, adopt new technologies and deliver practical solutions.

This is an opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of business services and legal services initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to understand challenges, define requirements and support successful delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

You will work across the full project lifecycle, supporting the discovery, design and implementation of digital and business change initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions to understand business needs and opportunities.
  • Analysing business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement, automation and digital enablement.
  • Gathering, documenting and prioritising requirements for complex projects and programmes.
  • Translating business needs into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria for agile delivery teams.
  • Working closely with project managers, product owners, developers, testers and business stakeholders to support successful delivery.
  • Managing requirements, backlogs and delivery activity through tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira.
  • Supporting user adoption by helping colleagues embrace new ways of working and future-state processes.
  • Producing clear documentation, reports and presentations to support effective decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
