Business Analyst | Energy Trading | ETRM Data | Credit Risk | £700/Day Inside IR35
An experienced ETRM Data Business Analyst is required to join a major energy trading organisation on a high-profile integration programme.
You’ll be joining a strategic programme focused on onboarding a new commodity trading business and integrating their ETRM platform into the existing technology landscape.
Working across trade, valuation, market data and credit data, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring information flows accurately from ETRM into downstream systems including CubeLogic, Finance systems, Topaz and other risk platforms.
This is a role focused firmly on the intersection of ETRM data, integration and business analysis. You’ll work closely with development teams and business stakeholders, supporting data mapping, requirements, integration analysis, acceptance testing and data validation throughout the integration lifecycle.
The programme will involve:
- Integrating a new ETRM platform into the existing technology landscape
- Mapping trade, valuation, market data and credit data flows
- Ensuring accurate data feeds into CubeLogic, Finance, Topaz and other risk platforms
- Supporting development teams with requirements and integration analysis
- Validating trade and credit data throughout the integration lifecycle

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
