Role Title: Business Analyst
Location: Glasgow
Duration: 31/12/2026
Days on site: 2-3
Pay Rate: £417 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in private Banking, Wealth Management, and Investments to support business and technology transformation initiatives within a leading financial institution.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business domain expertise and technical analytical capabilities, enabling them to work effectively with front-office stakeholders, operations teams, technology teams, and vendors. The role requires gathering and translating complex business requirements into functional solutions while ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology strategies.
Candidates with experience in Avaloq, Charles River (CRIMS/CRD), Aladdin, Temenos Wealth, InvestCloud, SimCorp, Multifonds, or similar wealth and investment management platforms will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Collaborate with Private Banking, Wealth Management, Investment Advisory, Portfolio Management, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to understand business needs.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Produce comprehensive documentation including:
- Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Requirement Specifications (FRDs)
- User Stories
- Process Flows
- Gap Analysis Documents
- Target Operating Models
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement gathering sessions.
- Ensure complete traceability from requirements through to delivery and testing.

Private Banking & Investments Domain Analysis
- Analyze and document business processes supporting:
- Private Banking
- Wealth Management
- Discretionary Portfolio Management
- Investment Advisory
- Brokerage Operations
- Client Onboarding
- Portfolio Reporting
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors, and Product Specialists to understand business challenges and opportunities.
- Support initiatives focused on enhancing client experience, operational efficiency, and investment servicing capabilities.
- Understand investment products including:
- Equities
- Fixed Income
- Mutual Funds
- ETFs
- Structured Products
- Alternative Investments
- Derivatives
Technical & Functional Analysis
- Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams.
- Perform data analysis and assess system impacts across upstream and downstream applications.
- Analyze APIs, interfaces, and integration points between investment platforms and enterprise systems.
- Support solution design discussions and review technical specifications.
- Participate in system architecture discussions and technology assessments.
- Define data mapping, transformation logic, and business rules.

Investment Platform Transformation
- Support implementation, enhancement, and migration initiatives involving:
- Avaloq
- Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS/CRD)
- Aladdin
- Temenos Wealth
- Other wealth and investment platforms
- Conduct fit-gap analysis against business requirements.
- Support vendor assessments and platform evaluation exercises.
- Participate in platform configuration, integration, and deployment programs.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Perform detailed analysis of portfolio, client, transaction, and investment data.
- Utilize SQL and reporting tools to validate data quality and support business decision-making.
- Define and document key investment and operational metrics.
- Investigate data discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
- Support regulatory, management, and client reporting initiatives.
Change & Delivery Support
- Work within Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid project delivery environments.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and business prioritization activities.
- Develop and execute UAT strategies and test scenarios.
- Coordinate defect management and business sign-offs.
- Assist in change management, training, and business readiness activities.
