Business Analyst – Finance & Process Improvement
Contract: Initial 6 months
Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week in West London
IR35: Outside IR35
We’re looking for an outstanding, hands-on Business Analyst to support business improvement and automation initiatives. The initial focus is expected to be within Finance, with scope to work across wider business processes.
This role suits someone who can quickly understand how a business operates, challenge existing ways of working and turn requirements into practical improvements. You’ll need to be confident working independently and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions and workshops to capture business requirements, issues, and opportunities.
- Map current and future processes, initially focusing on Finance.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, strengthen controls, and automate manual activities.
- Translate requirements into clear process documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of workflow tools such as Smartsheet, Monday.com, or Asana.
- Work with business and delivery teams to support testing, adoption, and implementation.

Key experience
- Strong track record as a Business Analyst delivering process improvement and business change.
- Experience analysing Finance processes and working closely with Finance stakeholders.
- Excellent process mapping, requirements gathering, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Practical experience with workflow automation or work management platforms; Smartsheet, Monday.com, or Asana would be advantageous.
- Ability to challenge constructively, influence senior stakeholders, and take ownership of delivery.
- A proactive, pragmatic approach, with the ability to make an impact quickly.
