About The Role
The Business Analyst - Complex Change role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a dynamic team within a prominent Financial Services organization based in central Birmingham. This position is initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract with a high likelihood of becoming permanent, reflecting the company's commitment to investing in talent and fostering career growth. The role offers a hybrid working model, combining flexible remote work with on-site collaboration, enabling a healthy work-life balance. The successful candidate will be pivotal in supporting the organization’s change and transformation initiatives by analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders. Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess a solid background in business analysis within regulated environments such as financial services. Relevant qualifications, including certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA), Agile methodologies, or project management, are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management. Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA or DevOps, along with strong skills in MS Office applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential. A good understanding of financial products, compliance standards, and risk management practices will be advantageous. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate effectively across various teams and levels of seniority.
Responsibilities
- Utilize business analysis techniques to gather comprehensive requirements from stakeholders, analyze existing processes, and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and interviews with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit detailed business needs and translate them into functional specifications.
- Develop and review documentation such as process maps, business cases, project plans, and reports, securing necessary approvals before implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across business units and with external suppliers, acting as a bridge to resolve issues and foster collaboration.
- Support change management activities by encouraging agile working practices and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making processes and strategic planning initiatives.
