Job Description
The Role
The Business Analyst will work closely with the product, business, and technology teams to identify and resolve gaps in requirements to address business problems and customer needs. The role will combine strong business analysis practice with practical use of artificial intelligence to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of discovery, requirements definition, process design, and delivery.
This role will help the business lean further into AI-driven ways of working. It will identify where AI, automation, and better use of data can remove low-value manual activity, improve decision-making, and create better customer and colleague experiences. The Business Analyst will test opportunities responsibly, show measurable value, and help teams adopt new approaches while maintaining appropriate human oversight, information security, and data quality.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with complex systems, including pricing and data platforms, and moving between process mapping, user journeys, data analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, and lightweight prototypes. They will use AI as a co-pilot, not a substitute for judgment, stakeholder engagement, or accountability.
Principal Accountabilities
- Own requirements from discovery through delivery, ensuring clear, complete, and agreed outcomes.
- Lead stakeholder engagement to gather requirements, challenge assumptions, and uncover business needs.
- Translate business objectives into high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Own backlog quality and readiness, ensuring priorities are clearly defined and delivery-ready.
- Manage analysis activities independently across multiple initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to align business, customer, and technical requirements.
- Analyze and improve business processes to drive efficiency, scalability, and customer value.
- Define success measures, support testing, and validate outcomes against business objectives.
- Identify and resolve requirements risks, dependencies, gaps, and ambiguities early in delivery.
- Use AI tools as part of daily analysis activities to improve research, documentation, backlog refinement, and decision-making.
- Identify, test, and champion practical uses of AI and automation that help teams work smarter while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
