Job Description
Join BRCGS as a Business Analyst and help shape digital products, influence product strategy, solve meaningful business challenges and play a visible role in delivering innovative solutions that support food safety, quality and supply chain confidence worldwide.
Working with product owners, software engineers, QA specialists and business stakeholders, the successful candidate will uncover business challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and help create products that deliver meaningful customer value. The role influences product direction, supports delivery and uses data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
This is an opportunity to lead complex initiatives across our growing digital product portfolio, including Directory, Educate and Participate, while also helping develop and mentor a team of Business Analysts. You'll have the chance to explore emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, and ensure every change delivers measurable business outcomes.

- Lead business analysis activities across BRCGS digital products, translating business needs into clear requirements and user stories.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges, find opportunities and ensure solutions align with business strategy and customer needs.
- Support product delivery from discovery through to release, including testing, sprint planning and continuous improvement activities.
- Use data and insights to evaluate performance, define success measures and support evidence-based decision making.
- Help shape AI-enabled opportunities by identifying practical applications, risks and business benefits.
- Coach and support Business Analysts, promoting best practice and building team capability.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and QA teams to ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, problem-solving and user-focused thinking.
Qualifications
What we're looking for
We're interested in curious, collaborative problem-solvers who enjoy using data to drive decisions and helping teams deliver meaningful change.
Essential Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Business Analyst within a software or digital product environment.
- Strong Agile experience, including Scrum, Kanban and user story development.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience defining KPIs, success measures and product outcomes.
- Ability to coach or mentor others and share best practice.
- Strong Excel and SQL skills, with experience using data to support decision making.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Interest in emerging technologies, including AI and responsible AI practices.
