About the Role
Our award-winning graduate programme provides the ideal springboard for an exciting and meaningful career in global financial markets. LSEG is at the forefront of trading services – a fundamental part of the financial and transactional services that support and enhance the development of businesses and economies across the world.
The Graduate Programme
Successful graduates will join LSEG’s Markets division on the rotational programme and be part of a dynamic team that powers global financial markets and helps organisations navigate risk with confidence. This programme brings together our Capital Markets and Post Trade businesses to offer a comprehensive suite of solutions—from raising and trading capital across asset classes and geographies to clearing and optimising portfolios, to managing regulatory, reputational and financial risk.
Whether it’s enabling companies to list and grow on the London Stock Exchange, supporting seamless post-trade operations, or delivering trusted data and tools like World-Check and identity verification services, you’ll be at the heart of the financial ecosystem. You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge platforms like FXall and Tradeweb, work with clients across the globe, and help shape the future of financial markets.
This is a great opportunity for students studying a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics subject or Finance, Economics with a strong inclination towards FinTech/Technology to apply their skills to a Business related role. During the recruitment process, we will get to know your skills and interests and how they align with the needs of the business to place you in your first rotation.

- Contributing towards researching, tracking, and testing content and user interface of online products.
- Research analysis into global markets which could have a focus on debt listings, valuations, and shareholder and geographic analysis.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
