Role Overview

A proactive and commercially minded Business Analyst to support the identification, analysis, evaluation, and delivery of innovation initiatives across the business. The role will help turn ideas into measurable business outcomes through effective discovery, as-is and to-be analysis, requirements lifecycle management, options analysis, business case development, benefits realisation, testing support, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support discovery, as-is and to-be analysis, options analysis, and evaluation of innovation opportunities across the business.
  • Develop robust business cases for innovation initiatives, including assessment of costs, benefits, risks, dependencies, and expected business outcomes.
  • Work with stakeholders to elicit, document, prioritise, validate, and manage business requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, process maps, options assessments, business cases, and other project artefacts.
  • Research, evaluate, and compare suppliers, technologies, and solution options to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Support agile and iterative delivery practices, including backlog refinement, prioritisation, sprint planning input, and clarification of user stories.
  • Support the planning, delivery, testing, validation, and evaluation of Proofs of Concept (PoCs), Proofs of Value (PoVs), and approved innovation initiatives.
  • Assist with rollout, adoption, and transition of approved initiatives, including assessing business impacts and readiness for change.
  • Define, track, and report on benefits, performance, outcomes, return on investment, and value measurement for innovation initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities to gather insight, build consensus, and support decision-making.
  • Provide business analysis expertise and advice to the Innovation Team, senior leaders, and management teams while managing multiple priorities independently.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
