Position Description

At CGI, we’re helping government and healthcare organisations in Northern Ireland transform the way they deliver essential services, creating meaningful outcomes for the people and communities they serve. As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping business solutions, improving processes and translating complex challenges into positive change. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of impactful projects, bring fresh thinking to business challenges and influence strategic outcomes for our clients.

Working alongside talented professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment, you’ll be encouraged to share your expertise, develop innovative approaches and grow your career as part of our expanding Business Analysis community across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position but you will be expected to attend our office in Belfast two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary CGI teams to understand business challenges, define requirements and shape solutions that deliver measurable improvements. You’ll take ownership of business analysis activities, from investigating operational needs and modelling processes through to defining requirements and supporting successful delivery. Your insights and recommendations will help clients make informed decisions, improve services and achieve their strategic objectives.

As part of our growing Business Analysis community within the Government & Health sector, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute new ideas, challenge existing approaches and help shape how we deliver value to clients. You’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues, build trusted stakeholder relationships and continue developing your expertise while making a meaningful contribution to projects that have a real-world impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
