Job Purpose
This role requires a proactive individual comfortable working with both IT and business colleagues, able to understand, capture and communicate complex business requirements, process flows, and supporting data, across systems and business functions.
Involved throughout the full IT project lifecycle, key functions include documented capture and sign-off of business requirements, detailed analysis and solution design, test planning and testing with key business users, and delivering project handover to support teams on multiple ongoing projects.
The Business Analyst role involves communication across all levels and areas of the business and external suppliers, and requires some travel to stores, warehouses and supplier offices.
Skills & Experience
- Multiple experiences of the full IT project lifecycle in a retail environment.
- Strong problem-solving and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work with both internal/external and business/technical teams.
- Experience of testing processes and defect reporting/tracking.
- Relevant academic or professional qualifications to support key skills.

Responsibilities
- Scope and define projects, identifying feasible and cost-effective solutions.
- Run workshops to capture and then document detailed business requirements.
- Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations obtaining required sign-off to proposed solutions.
- Manage and lead testing efforts for IT development projects by producing test plans, scripts and working with end users to ensure business sign off.
- Manage change requests and defect tracking through to resolution.

Contract Details
- This is a fixed-term contract covering six months' Parental Leave, November 2026-April 2027.
- This position is based at the Head Office in Amersham.
- You must live within a reasonable distance to the office or be willing to relocate by the role commencement date.
Salary
Annual salary: 50-55k.
