About the role
We’re excited to be recruiting a Business Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support WWF-UK’s programme of systems transformation.
Working as part of the Business Systems Improvement team, you’ll help make sure new systems and processes genuinely meet the needs of the people who use them.
You’ll work with colleagues across WWF-UK to understand how things work today, identify where improvements are needed and translate those needs into clear requirements for new solutions.
This is a hands-on role covering the full project lifecycle. You’ll gather and document requirements, map current and future processes, create user stories and acceptance criteria, manage product backlogs and support the development of business cases.
You’ll also work closely with internal delivery teams, subject matter experts and external partners to help shape solutions, support testing and keep delivery focused on the things that matter most.
A key part of the role will be bringing clarity to complex problems. You’ll use data, insight and structured analysis to identify opportunities to simplify ways of working, improve efficiency and make better use of technology.
You’ll also support solution research and procurement activity where needed and help make sure requirements, decisions and processes are clearly documented throughout delivery.
We’re looking for someone who is analytical, collaborative and comfortable working across both business and technology teams. You’ll be confident asking the right questions, facilitating conversations and turning complex requirements into clear, practical next steps.
Please note that this role is not a Data Analyst role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
