Business Analyst/ Business Change/ Business System Change
Location: Central Birmingham
Working Pattern: 2 days per week onsite
Role Purpose
The Business Analyst will support the delivery and adoption of digital solutions and operational applications across the organisation.
Working across operational teams, business stakeholders, technology teams and external suppliers, the role will identify business needs, analyse processes, define requirements and ensure new or enhanced systems are successfully embedded into day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will be confident analysing complex end-to-end processes, identifying business and operational impacts, and translating business needs into clear, actionable and deliverable requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business and systems analysis activities from discovery through to post-go-live.
- Map and assess end-to-end business processes, data flows and system interactions.
- Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs and capture requirements.
- Produce AS-IS and TO-BE process maps, gap analyses, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business needs into clear functional, system and integration requirements.
- Work closely with developers, architects, technology teams and external suppliers to support solution design and delivery.
- Conduct change-impact assessments and support communications, training and business-readiness planning.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, cutover, data migration and operational handover.
- Produce user guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
- Monitor post-go-live issues, gather feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst, Business Change Analyst or in a similar role.
- Experience with the implementation/ change management of ERP, e-commerce, customer portals or manufacturing systems.
- Strong understanding of operational business processes and supporting systems.
- Excellent requirements elicitation, documentation and management skills.
- Strong experience with process mapping, user stories and functional specifications.
- Experience assessing business impacts and coordinating UAT and business readiness activities.
- Experience developing communications, training materials and operational documentation.
- Good understanding of integrated systems, APIs, data flows and/or ERP environments.

Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting system replacement, systems integration or process-standardisation programmes.
- Experience working within multi-company, international or regulated environments.
- Experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with recognised change-management frameworks.

- Excellent process-modelling and requirements-management capabilities.
- Ability to understand and connect business processes, systems, data and organisational change.
- Clear, confident communication and strong workshop facilitation skills.

- Ability to constructively challenge existing processes and approaches.
- Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage competing requirements and stakeholders.
This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week onsite in Central Birmingham and the remaining working days available remotely.
