An IT Business Analyst is required by a Digital Consultancy for a hybrid role based in Manchester, paying up to £70,000 + benefits.
Are you an experienced Technical Business Analyst who enjoys turning complex, ambiguous business challenges into practical digital solutions? We're working with a growing digital technology consultancy that delivers software products and digital transformation programmes across infrastructure, construction, utilities, logistics and related sectors.
This is a senior, hands-on role where you'll take ownership of requirements from discovery through to delivery, ensuring that solutions are clearly defined, tested and successfully implemented. You'll work closely with clients, project teams and software developers, helping shape products and services that deliver real operational value.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for leading requirements gathering and analysis activities, facilitating stakeholder workshops, producing detailed specifications, and ensuring solutions are delivery-ready. The role offers significant autonomy and influence, with the opportunity to help develop and mature the business analysis function as the organisation continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering, discovery workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Produce user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications and traceability documentation.
- Manage product backlogs and ensure requirements are ready for development.
- Define integrations, data flows, permissions and business rules.
- Support testing, defect resolution, change control and release activities.
- Build strong client relationships and help shape business analysis best practice as the organisation continues to grow.

About You
- Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or Technical Product Owner.
- Strong background in writing detailed business and functional requirements.
- Comfortable working with both business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Experience in Agile delivery environments.
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, REST APIs and systems integration would be beneficial.
