Role Description

To support the Sales Department by analysing and delivering an efficient sales system service, ensuring the timely processing of invoices, supplier payments, reconciliations, and expense management, while analysing financial data, identifying process improvements, and contributing to the achievement of departmental and business objectives.

Ideal Candidate

A commercially minded, analytical and proactive professional with strong numerical and Excel skills, good understanding of sales and customer performance, and the ability to turn data into practical business insights. Experience in FMCG, sales analysis, Power BI, process improvement and AI tools would be advantageous.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

STRATEGIC

  • Analyse sales and commercial data to identify growth, customer and profitability opportunities.
  • Support sales strategy, target setting, forecasting and business planning.
  • Provide insights into customer, product, brand and market performance.
  • Analyse pricing, margins and profitability to support commercial decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales performance, processes and business intelligence.
  • Support the use of AI, automation and data analytics to improve sales effectiveness

WORK SCOPE

Sales Analysis Support

  • Analyse sales, customer, product and territory performance.
  • Monitor sales against targets, budgets and forecasts.
  • Identify sales growth, customer development and profitability opportunities.
  • Provide reports, dashboards and insights to support the Sales Team and Management.
  • Support sales forecasting, target setting and commercial decision-making.
  • Analyse pricing, margins, product performance and customer profitability.

Process Improvement & Business Intelligence

  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, reporting and data management.
  • Develop and improve dashboards, KPIs and management information.
  • Automate routine reporting and analytical processes where practical.
  • Improve data accuracy, consistency and accessibility.
  • Use AI, automation and business intelligence tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Implement improvements to systems and processes that enhance sales performance efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies
  • Professional qualification in Sales/Systems Analysis

Experience

Minimum 2 years' experience in business analysis within the FMCG or food industry.

£30,000 per annum
