Business Analyst - NHS IT Review

Our client, a large consultancy engaged with digital transformation within the NHS, requires a Business Analyst with in-depth NHS process experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data collection / manipulation and Processing
  • Active Directory / Domain Migration Experience
  • NHS & Clinical Application Working Experience
  • Application - Front / Back End design understanding

Skills and Competencies

Analytical Skills

  • Turning raw information into insights.
  • Reading specs, SOPs, audit logs, operational policies.
  • Reviewing system outputs (reports, logs, data extracts).
  • Identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities.
  • Understanding patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Using Excel, SQL basics, or dashboards to validate findings.

Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving

  • Spotting missing data, conflicting processes, or ambiguous requirements.
  • Root cause analysis - using methods like:
    • 5 Whys
    • Fishbone diagrams
    • Process tracing
