Business Analyst Role at Honda Finance Europe
At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting business change, process improvement and solution delivery across Honda Finance Europe (HFE). Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and external suppliers, the role helps shape solutions by understanding business needs, analysing opportunities, defining requirements and supporting the successful delivery of change initiatives.
The role provides exposure to a wide range of business areas, systems and projects, requiring strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills. It contributes across the full change lifecycle, from discovery and solution definition through to testing, implementation, transition and continuous improvement.
This role extends beyond traditional business analysis, requiring curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to learn. The role holder will work across a variety of business areas and change initiatives, often supporting multiple activities in parallel to support successful project and operational outcomes.
In addition to business analysis activities, the role supports effective governance, risk management, reporting and decision-making, helping ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements and operational needs.
Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities will be carried out in close cooperation with HFE business users and Business Solutions team.
Business Analysis & Discovery
- Lead discovery and analysis activities including workshops, interviews and process review sessions.
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements, translating them into structured formats such as functional specifications, epics, themes and user stories.
- Analyse impacts, dependencies, risks and benefits to support informed decision-making and solution identification and design.

Change Delivery & Configuration Ownership
- Own and coordinate small to medium-sized changes and configuration-led initiatives, ensuring effective prioritization and end-to-end delivery.
- Ensure changes are delivered in a controlled and traceable manner, following agreed governance, delivery and compliance standards.
Stakeholder, Supplier & Workshop Management
- Build effective relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams and external suppliers to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, reviews and demonstrations to gather, validate and refine requirements and solutions.
- Support knowledge transfer activities, user guidance and small-group training where appropriate.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Support business access to data, reporting and insight, including the development and validation of reports and dashboards.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve data quality, reporting capability and business insight.
- Assist stakeholders in understanding reporting requirements and identifying opportunities for improved data-driven decision making.
Support Business Change
- Maintain alignment of solutions within a highly regulated environment and balance business objectives, regulatory requirements, controls and operational needs.
- Maintain appropriate delivery documentation and reporting.
- Formally communicate risks, issues, impacts and dependencies.
- Support changes through deployment lifecycle: development, testing phases, application versions and environments.
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and delivery outcomes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Required
- Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach to planning, documentation and managing multiple priorities.
- Proven experience in a Business Analyst, System Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Experience working in asset finance, financial services, or other regulated environments.
- Ability to translate technical topics into clear business language and impacts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Analytical capability for reporting and structured information management.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and tools.

Desirable
- BCS accreditation or equivalent Business Analysis qualification.
- IT or technical background (formal or through experience), with exposure to system architectures and integration patterns.
- Experience using change delivery and requirements management tools (e.g. Jira or similar platforms).
- Experience supporting reporting, business intelligence or data-driven initiatives, including exposure to tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Query or SQL.
