Role Overview
We are experiencing rapid growth and undergoing transformation, as the Business Analyst you will work within the BA team to help deliver new features to our varied customer base. We are continuously looking to improve a client's onboarding journey from the point of registration, Account applications, Processing of the accounts including necessary KYC, Sanctions and regulatory checks to the point the users' account is successfully opened. This covers support across the various regions CMC Markets operates in which each have their own regional requirements.
You will experience highly engaged senior stakeholders and help manage and support the delivery of a varied set of strategic projects across different areas of the products. It is fast-paced, we have a fantastic culture, and a passion for innovation and the desire to be the best at what we do.
Responsibilities
- Engage with the project stakeholders and use your comprehensive skills to lead the analysis on a set of strategic projects across the various platforms (and assist in other areas)
- Create user stories to a high standard and specification that represent the business needs, translating these into technical requirements and work with the development and QA teams to deliver the projects
- Always need to consider any change on the impact to a Clients' Onboarding journey
- Manage and prioritise the Backlog of requirements for the development team
- Assist in the acceptance testing of project deliverables and support of existing system
- Conduct impact analysis based on requirement changes assessing the affect of Operations users and systems
- Generation and monitoring of Reports that track performance and impact to client journeys
- When dealing with all customers, clients, or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear, fair, and consistent high-quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality
- Undertake such other duties, training, and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role

Key Skills and Experience
Essential:
- A great communicator who can engage with all levels of stakeholders and work effectively with the Development teams
- Proven experience in a Business Analyst role within financial services working on complex business and technical solutions
- Experienced in Agile practices including Backlog management, prioritisation, Story refinement, Sprint planning
- Experience in areas such as client onboarding, CRM, and sales area
- Enthusiastic in analysing and improving users' end-to-end user journeys and experience across multiple channels (desktop & mobile platforms)
- Proven experience using wire framing / prototyping tools i.e. Miro, Figma
- Proven experience using collaboration tools i.e. Teams, Miro
- An understanding of XML/JSON is highly desirable
- Good technical knowledge and understanding of integrated IT systems and software development life cycle is highly desirable
- Self-motivated with the ability to drive projects forward to successful completion
- Use your existing skills and industry knowledge to mentor other Business Analysts and team members.
