About The Team
Platform Products is responsible for building shared capabilities that can be leveraged across the organization. We operate a product-led model focused on identifying common business needs, building reusable solutions once, and enabling business units to adopt them at scale.
Our mission is to accelerate innovation, improve consistency, and reduce duplication by delivering platform capabilities across areas of Fitch Solutions. While Business Units focus on their domain expertise and commercial differentiation, Platform Products focuses on the foundational capabilities that support them all. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in understanding how our businesses operate, uncovering common processes and data needs, and translating those insights into strategic platform solutions that deliver value across multiple business units.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Partner with stakeholders across business units to understand end-to-end workflows, operational processes, data flows, and business challenges, identifying opportunities to create standardized platform capabilities that can be leveraged enterprise-wide.
- Analyze complex financial market processes and data lifecycles—including areas such as bonds, loans, private credit, broadly syndicated loans, ratings, and reference data—to identify common patterns, dependencies, and opportunities for automation.
- Evaluate existing business processes, manual operations, and technology solutions to determine where duplicative capabilities can be consolidated into shared platform services that improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
- Develop clear business requirements, process models, data flow diagrams, and domain-driven recommendations aligned with market practices and industry standards, ensuring solutions address both current and future business needs.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and engineering teams to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into prioritized product roadmaps, epics, and features that deliver measurable value across multiple business functions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
