Our purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. And to save every one. 24 hours a day, every day, RNLI lifesavers are ready to launch to the rescue.

We’re looking for two Business Analysts to join our central Portfolio Office team for up to 12 months. The successful candidates will be part of a team of change professionals working with stakeholders to deliver a wide range of strategic projects to improve the quality of our services for our supporters, volunteers and staff. Projects and programmes at the RNLI are varied, and we are looking for all-round business analysis experience.

Some of the Benefits

  • Salary - £42,479 to £49,976 (dependent on experience)
  • Flexible working
  • 26 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Outstanding pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Health and dental cashplan

Your Role

As a Business Analyst, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:

  • Work across the RNLI at all levels, to gather, document and analyse functional and non-functional requirements which will be used to help define the scope and deliverables of strategic projects
  • Utilise business analysis tools and techniques including workshop facilitation, process mapping and requirements prioritisation
  • Support project stakeholders and teams to influence, develop and deliver strategic change within the organisation
  • Identify, analyse, and respond to project risks, pre-empting potential issues and in some cases challenging the design and development community to work towards solutions
  • Input into continuous improvement initiatives to improve the maturity of the BA team at the RNLI

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
