Job Description

Working as a Business Analyst within our Group Technology Delivery Train; you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This is a varied role. Whilst the focus is on Customer Service Product, you might be working on projects across the entire Servicing Train. You will be identifying, analysing, and documenting business requirements, ensuring that solutions align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable value. By working closely with stakeholders, SME’s, delivery teams, and product owners, you will ensure that business goals are clearly understood, effectively communicated, and successfully translated into actionable outcomes throughout the project lifecycle

Working within an Agile/Waterfall framework, you will apply appropriate techniques such as; use cases, UML diagrams, etc whilst using a combination of analytical rigor, stakeholder collaboration, and agile delivery practices to ensure that business needs are effectively translated into impactful, high-quality solutions.

Across the gambit of Business Analysis/ Delivery/ Product Support, typical duties include:

  • Elicit, analyse, document, and maintain business requirements and rules (functional, non-functional, technical, and MI) with full traceability, alignment to product goals, and safeguards against adverse change impacts.
  • Define and control project scope while working with delivery teams and stakeholders to estimate effort (e.g. t‑shirt sizing), shape realistic business cases and plans, and maintain alignment to agreed objectives.
  • Lead and maintain core product artefacts and process maps (current and future state) using industry-standard techniques (e.g. BPMN, wireframes, use cases), and perform DPIAs/DPAs to ensure robust, compliant data protection controls.
  • Shape and manage delivery scope by contributing to the Programme Plan, prioritising the Sprint Backlog to PI Objectives and the Product Roadmap, decomposing requirements into Epics/Features, and engaging Data & BI on impacts.
  • Drive agile delivery by creating and refining clear user stories and acceptance criteria with delivery teams, supporting agile design/prototyping, and continuously refining estimates under the Change Delivery Framework.
  • Safeguard quality and governance by supporting testing, aligning scripts to requirements, performing pre-release verification, leading Show & Share sessions for feedback, and ensuring adherence to Together’s governance standards.
  • Provide application support for core systems, managing production incidents and queries, resolving tickets in line with SLAs, and maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Log, prioritise, and track bugs and recurring issues by business impact, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions with development and infrastructure teams to improve stability.
  • Support out-of-hours production releases, including post-implementation verification and early life support, while ensuring compliance with Change and IT Operational Policies and Procedures.

Candidates with a good blend of the skills and experience below will be highly regarded:

  • Candidates with experience i.e. finance, Mortgages, insurance etc etc. will be highly regarded
  • Commercial/ Business Change experience along with Tech is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven ability to plan, design, and lead effective workshops.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a solid understanding of structured business analysis techniques.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident operating across all levels of the business, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, with the confidence to challenge constructively when appropriate.
  • Capable of translating complex business and technical requirements into clear, actionable insights for delivery teams.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in both Agile and Waterfall environments, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis (achieved or currently pursuing) is preferred.
  • Proficient in creating BPMN process maps, UML diagrams, wireframes, and traceability matrices to support solution design.
