About The Role

EKIM Consulting is actively seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join their dynamic team, supporting projects within the UK Defence sector. This permanent position is based in Farnborough, offering a hybrid working model with 2-3 days onsite per week to facilitate collaboration and effective stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for complex platforms and applications tailored to secure and regulated environments. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, applicants must currently hold an active SC security clearance. The role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile defense projects, ensuring that technological solutions meet stringent security standards and operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience delivering Business Analysis within the UK Defence sector or Military environments.
  • Proven expertise in requirement gathering, process modeling, and documentation, including the use of entity diagrams and relevant frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and bridge the gap between IT and business teams.
  • Current active SC security clearance is mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant academic qualifications or certifications in Business Analysis, such as CBAP or PMI-PBA, are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and technical requirements for defense projects.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, entity diagrams, and process flows, aligned with project standards.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure clear understanding and agreement on project scope and deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure requirements are translated effectively into system design and implementation.
  • Support the deployment of technology platforms and applications within secure environments, ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulations.
  • Assist in the testing and validation of solutions to confirm they meet specified requirements and quality standards.
  • Contribute to risk management and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather feedback.
