Business Analyst – Core Business Systems
We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our Core Business Systems team and play a key role in how change is understood, shaped and delivered across the platforms that underpin our business.
This is more than a traditional requirements-gathering BA role. You'll sit at the point where business process, systems and technology meet, taking problems and opportunities from stakeholders, understanding how they flow across our systems, and translating them into clear requirements that our architects and development teams can take forward.
You'll work across an interconnected application estate including Salesforce, NetSuite, Boomi and OpenAir, with Salesforce sitting at the heart of much of our data and processes. You don't need to be a developer or architect, but you do need to understand systems: how data and processes move between applications, where a change in one platform creates an impact somewhere else, and how to ask the right questions before development begins.
What You Will Do
- Own the analysis that happens before change reaches development, working directly with business stakeholders to understand the problem they're trying to solve, challenge and clarify requirements, and identify the wider business and system impact.
- Work closely with senior architects across our platforms, you'll translate business needs into well-defined requirements and technical deliverables, making sure changes are properly understood across the full process rather than viewed through the lens of one application.
- Lead requirements gathering and turn stakeholder problems into clear, actionable business and system requirements.
- Map end-to-end business processes and understand how data and activity flow between systems.
- Assess the upstream and downstream impact of proposed changes before they enter delivery.
- Work with platform architects to translate requirements into deliverable technical change.
- Challenge assumptions and identify gaps in requirements before they become problems during development.
- Improve the quality of scoping and reduce scope creep across projects and smaller change initiatives.
- Own and continuously improve process and system documentation, creating a reliable picture of how our current estate operates.
- Support multiple initiatives at different stages, moving comfortably between stakeholders, architects and development teams.
- Help us build a stronger understanding of the business value delivered through technology change.

What You Will Have
We're looking for someone who combines strong Business Analysis fundamentals with genuine systems and technical awareness.
You'll ideally bring:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst within a systems/application environment.
- Strong hands-on experience working with Salesforce as part of business or technology change.
- Experience working across integrated business systems, with an understanding of how changes and data flow between applications.
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation skills.
- The ability to translate confidently between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience working alongside architects, developers and other technical specialists.
- An understanding of end-to-end commercial/business processes such as quote-to-cash, with exposure to financial or ERP systems particularly useful.
- The confidence to take ownership, use your initiative and work independently rather than waiting for requirements or solutions to be handed to you.
- Experience working across multiple pieces of change simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with NetSuite, Boomi or other ERP/integration technologies would be valuable, but we're more interested in your ability to understand an interconnected systems landscape than in ticking every technology box.
- Experience in business continuity planning or disaster recovery would also be an advantage, particularly where you've had to build a detailed understanding of business processes and system dependencies.
