Business Analyst – Sales Strategy, Planning & Operations

London, UK – Hybrid | 12-Month Contract | November 2026 Start

Role Details

  • Location: London, UK – Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite
  • Contract: 12 months, with potential for extension
  • Start Date: November 2026
  • Level: IC4 equivalent
  • Interview Process: 2 rounds
  • Experience: 6+ years
  • Education: Bachelor's degree minimum, preferably in a quantitative field

About the Role

We are looking for a highly strategic, quantitative, and insight-driven Business Analyst to join a high-performing EMEA Sales Strategy, Planning & Operations team. This role will be responsible for turning complex data into clear strategic recommendations that drive measurable business outcomes. You will act as a trusted and objective partner to sales leadership, identifying trends, opportunities, risks, and market dynamics that influence business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver objective, data-driven insights that support critical business decisions and drive measurable business impact.
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyse data from large and complex databases using SQL.
  • Translate complex datasets and business problems into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide strategic recommendations that influence business direction, planning, and resource allocation.
  • Bring strong knowledge of EMEA market dynamics and regional business realities into broader strategic discussions.
  • Represent the regional perspective in global forums and provide data-driven feedback on market trends, opportunities, and business priorities.
  • Develop compelling narratives and presentations that communicate key insights, opportunities, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment between regional and global teams, ensuring strategic initiatives are grounded in practical execution requirements.
  • Adapt priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment while clearly communicating trade-offs and business implications.
  • Identify opportunities to automate analytical and operational workflows using AI and emerging technologies.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, scalability, quality, and accuracy of analytical workflows.
  • Collaborate across teams to solve complex commercial, operational, and organisational problems.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in strategy and operations, business analytics, consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity/venture capital, technology, or a similar quantitative environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including experience extracting and manipulating data from large and complex databases.
  • Proven experience using data to understand business problems and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex and varied business challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in dynamic environments where priorities change and trade-offs need to be communicated effectively.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset and experience improving or automating workflows.
  • Practical experience leveraging AI tools to improve business or analytical processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into compelling business narratives.

Good to Have

  • Experience in technology, advertising, media, or digital industries.
  • Previous experience supporting EMEA markets and understanding regional business dynamics.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Experience building or deploying AI-powered automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality control, and accuracy reviews.
  • Experience using AI for workflow redesign, automation, and analytical efficiency improvements.
  • Familiarity with advertising products, sales organisations, or digital advertising ecosystems.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, context engineering, agent orchestration, or other emerging AI capabilities.
  • MBA or an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience within organisations such as major technology companies or leading strategy/consulting firms.
